We wanted to send a quick email in the middle of the week with some information for the week.

On Monday, June 15, Pat Yancey started his new position with us. Pat will be our Director of Worship and Caring ministries. He is working with staff this week and will be leading in worship starting on July 5. Please be sure to welcome Pat!

On Friday, our church has been asked to host an event that is being put on by the Street Dog Coalition. This is an organization through the Kansas State Vet program that provides care for dogs for homeless populations. Earlier this year, they provided cameras to many of the people who have dogs that they help. The pictures have been turned into a photo display to raise awareness for homelessness and their pets. On Friday, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, the display will be presented at our church. All are welcome!

On Sunday, we will celebrate Pastor Sandra's ministry with us. She will be preaching and leading in worship. We will have a reception after each service and we would encourage you to bring cards and well wishes. Also, Pastor Sandra has played a big role in the UMC's Miracle Sunday drive. This fund drive assists those in Africa who are attending seminary. Pastor Sandra's video about this is at the bottom of this email. In honor of her ministry with us, we invite you to make a contribution to the Miracle Sunday campaign.
