Marilyn Ann Yeoman, of Topeka, daughter of John Leo Quinn and Loretta Marguerite (Heinisch) Quinn, died February 7, 2026 at Midland Hospice House. She was 80.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents and by her only sibling, David Michael “Mike” Quinn, then of Odessa, Missouri. Mike’s wife, Marsha Kay (Slocum) Quinn survives.

Marilyn is survived by her husband of 54 years, Frank Joshua Yeoman, Jr., of the home; their sons, Dr. Steven K. Yeoman (Pamela) of Shawnee, Kansas, and Nathan C. Yeoman (Sara) of Anaheim, California, and three granddaughters – Kennedy Quinn Yeoman and Elliot Sue Yeoman of Shawnee, both students at KU, and Clare Frances Yeoman of Anaheim, California; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Marilyn graduated from Hayden High School in 1963 and worked her way through college, obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Washburn University. She was employed at the Wyandotte County Welfare Department and then the Shawnee County Welfare Department as a social worker. It was at the latter that she met her husband to be, Frank J. Yeoman, Jr. After she and Frank married, she pursued a career as a legal secretary. She worked for Ralph Skoog of Crow and Skoog of Topeka, Washburn University Law Clinic, Kansas Attorney General Robert Stephan, and the Kansas Supreme Court in the Office of the Kansas Disciplinary Administrator where she retired in 2009. Following her retirement, she volunteered at Friends of the Topeka and Shawnee County Library.

Marilyn was a dedicated mother and wife, giving especially her support to her sons’ sports and youth activities. She was always an avid reader and bridge player sponsoring both a book club and a bridge club for many years.

Marilyn was baptized in the Church as an infant and an active member of the church in her youth. After her marriage, she transferred her membership to the First United Methodist Church of Topeka, where she was a member for more than 50 years. For many years, she and her husband taught Sunday School and she enjoyed regular attendance until her health no longer allowed.

The family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 13, 2026 at Parker-Price & Davidson, 245 NW Independence Ave., Topeka, KS 66608.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at First United Methodist Church Klasse Chapel. Burial will be in the Topeka Cemetery.

Parker-Price & Davidson Mortuary is in charge of the services.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Harvesters, a charitable organization that Marilyn supported, which works to feed the poor and hungry.
