I hope that you are having a great week and enjoying the warmer weather!
This week, we received a letter from Bishop Wilson thanking our church for paying 100% of our mission shares! Mission shares can be thought of as our tithe to the bigger United Methodist Church. I cannot say it enough, thank you for your faithfulness and generosity!
The men's group will be meeting this Saturday at The Pad for breakfast and fellowship at 8 am. The featured speaker is Barry Feaker with Compassion Strategies. I serve on the Compassion Strategies board and am thankful for Barry's leadership in serving our neighbors currently experiencing homelessness. Barry will be discussing the Compassion Impact Center that will open in April.
As we gather for worship on Sunday, we continue our Lenton journey together, as we continue to witness the intentional life of Jesus. Our theme this Sunday is "The Power Of Intentional Prayer." This week we will see Jesus praying in the garden just before he is to be taken away and crucified.
