Mary Joan (Pat) Robertson Anderson passed gently in her sleep September 26, 2025, at Midland Care Hospice House in Topeka.

Mrs. Anderson was born in Newton, Kansas, November 10th, 1930, the third daughter of Ellis Patton and Nellie Viola Byler Robertson. She graduated from Newton High School in Newton, Kansas in 1948, and spent 2 years at Northwest Nazarene College in Nampa, Idaho.

She married Delmer Anderson June 29th, 1951. They had 4 children: Brent Patton, (59), of Glendora, CA, twins daughters Jill Marie (Roberts), and Joan Michelle (Teske) (56) of Manhattan KS, and Gregg Edward (54) of Naples, Florida. Her husband and daughter Jill preceded her in death.

Grandchildren are James Anderson of Topeka, Aaron Anderson of Hawley, TX, Dana Roberts Moritz and Derek Roberts of Topeka, Alan Saylor of Topeka, Logan Saylor of Manhattan, and QiQi Anderson of Naples, FL.

Mrs. Anderson served Washburn University of Topeka for 37 years, first as Administrative Assistant to the Dean in the School of Business, then as Administrative Assistant to the Director of KTWU Channel 11.

Del and Pat Anderson were strong and active members of First United Methodist Church in Topeka, serving on numerous committees in the function of the Church. Memorial service dates are pending and will be announced later.

A Memorial Service to honor her life will take place at 11:00am March 7, 2026 at First United Methodist Church, 600 SW Topeka Blvd, Topeka, KS 66603.
