Participate in Worship
Anyone who loves to sing is invited to join our Sanctuary Choir, directed by Steve Eubank. All voices and skill levels are welcome! The Sanctuary Choir prepares sacred music from many genres for the 11:00 service each week, with opportunities for special performances and services arising throughout the year. The choir meets at 7:30 on Thursday nights and 10:30 on Sunday mornings before worship. They usually take the summer months off, except for a spectacular worship experience they offer on the Sunday before the Fourth of July. Contact Steve Eubank for more information.
If you’d like your praises to truly “ring out” on Sunday mornings, you might like to join one of our bell choirs! Bells offer anthems regularly at our 8:15 and 11:00 services, and are always a celebrated part of our special holiday services. Director Sharon Fick offers three options to include ringers at all skill levels:
Youth Ringers: teenagers interested in ringing
New Vibrations: for those who are new to bell ringing, even if they have little experience with music
Rhapsody Ringers: our elite group of ringers who are ready for more complicated numbers, using our complete range of bells and chimes.
Praise Team: Our 9:30 service features the uplifting Christian music we love today led by our band and singers. Contact Amy Schumacher if you’d like to get involved.
Audio/Visual: Contact Tina Boles if you are interested in serving on Sunday mornings with our worship technology. All skill levels welcome!
Lay Readers: Our Lay Readers, or Liturgists, guide the congregation through our 8:15 and 11:00 services through offering words of welcome, scripture reading, and prayer. Contact Randall Hodgkinson if you are interested in becoming a liturgist.
Hospitality (Greeters, Ushers, Coffee Connection): Radical hospitality is our aim for anyone entering the doors of our church. If you’d like to help us make visitors feel welcome by greeting, ushering, or replenishing our donut platters during coffee time, contact Beth Evans.
