Be the Bridge Capital Campaign UpdateGreetings Topeka First UMC, We wanted to send you an update on the next phase of the Be The Bridge Capital Campaign. In September, we sent out a survey to discuss the options of: 1) building a portico, fixing the 3 sets of wood Klasse Chapel doors, and replacing the west side stained-glass window covers OR replacing all of the stained-glass window covers. As you may remember, the vote on these options was nearly 50/50. Recently, we received some new drawings that we are excited to show you! Chapel Hallway with new clear windows:

Therefore, we the Be The Bridge Executive Team would like to recommend that we build the portico, and replace the outside doors, and to replace the west side stained glass window coverings. This is in line with the original intent of the Be The Bridge Capital Campaign. One of the main goals of the campaign was to build a portico that would make our church a more accessible facility. While it is not in the original location, the portico on the south side of the building achieves the goal of making the church more accessible.
