Sunday Mornings for Children

School Year Schedule

  • Nursery Care: Our nursery is available for children six weeks to 3 years old. Our nursery staff loves reading stories, rocking sleepy babies, and engaging toddlers with age-appropriate activities and toys in our peaceful environment.
  • 3-Year-Olds as of August 1 – 6th Graders: Children check-in at the kiosk in the Celebration Room. Parents accompany children to room 213 for an all ages opening worship. Children then dismiss to age level Sunday School classes. Children are grouped ages 3 to 5, Kindergarten and 1st grade, 2nd and 3rd grade, and 4th, 5th and 6th grade.  Each class uses an age-appropriate curriculum and is led by two to three adult volunteers certified by our Safe Gatherings program.
  • Worship Readiness for Children: Worship Readiness is offered during 11 a.m. worship. This class is designed for children ages 3-8.  This class will use hands-on activities and child-friendly discussion to help children learn about the elements of worship and spiritual practices. We invite children to start worship with their parents to experience the prayer, hymns, and scripture as a family. Then they will be dismissed to the back of the Sanctuary.  Children will return to worship at the end of the sermon.
  • Children are always welcome in worship! Activity bags with toys and coloring books are available in the Chapel and Sanctuary.
  • Grace Spaces: We are proud to offer Grace Spaces to children and families. They are areas with kid-friendly seating and activities that change with the theme of the sermon. Grace Spaces are open at all three services.
