Children’s Christmas Pageant

The children of the church will tell the Christmas story through drama and music as we celebrate the Christ child’s birth. Prophets spoke of Him, the angels announced Him, kings traveled across a continent looking for Him, and now we can have the light within us. Rehearsals will begin on Wednesday, October 4th and go through the pageant date, which is Sunday, December 3rd. There is no pageant practice on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, but there will be a special dress rehearsal on Saturday, December 2nd, 9:30 to 11 a.m. We hope to hear from all of our 4 year old-6th graders!

More About Our Annual Christmas Pageant

We look forward to our Christmas Pageant all year long! Each fall, our children begin working with church members of all generations to present a very special telling of the Christmas story. From our very youngest to our most experienced members, everyone works together using their own talents and interests. Arts and crafts enthusiasts create props and set pieces, musicians prepare their voices and instruments, and children practice weekly to sing, dance, and act out the story of our Savior’s birth, often using an original script. A highlight each year is the debut of Baby Jesus, played by the newest baby in the congregation. All are invited to come see the pageant as they prepare their hearts for Christmas.

Occasionally, children have more seasonal opportunities to explore the stories of our faith through music and drama. Watch our newsletter for details for how you can connect, grow, and serve with us through this special ministry, for the good of the city.
