New for Families and Children

Watch for Children’s bulletins in church that tie into the Bible story we have during Sunday School. Additionally, parents can pick up a devotional at the check-in desk that will give their whole family ways to dig deeper into the Bible story that we studied that week.
Learning and praying as a family teaches our children to Connect, Grow, and Serve in the life of the church!

Back to School Celebration

Last Sunday at each service, many children and educators gathered in the Chapel and Sanctuary for a special time of blessing to give their school year a bright start. All received key chains to attach to their school bags, which included a scripture and message that assured them the members of Topeka First UMC are praying for them. Please continue to remember our educators and students in prayer throughout the year.

The back to school celebration continues! All are invited to celebrate the start of the new school year during the 10:30 coffee connection time on August 20th. We will have chalk, bubbles and a snack out on the playground for all ages of children. We will plan to start at 10:30 and wrap up by 10:50 for those who will be attending worship.

Children’s Area Clean-Up

On August 3, 4, and 5, come for an hour or come for a day as we declutter the classrooms and storage areas on the second floor. Jobs will vary from sorting craft supplies to emptying classrooms. This is a great way to support the children of our church. Sign up for a shift to help at the check-in kiosk in the Celebration Room or email  Allison Brewer, Director of Children’s Discipleship.
