May 19th eNote from Pastor Jeff

It is hard to believe that another school year has nearly come to a close. Commencements are this weekend, and if students haven’t already, they’ll have their last days of school next week. By the time I write next Friday, there will be a kindergartner and a third grader in the Clinger house!
This weekend in worship we will recognize our graduates. There are persons connected to our congregation graduating from high school, college, and even seminary this year. Graduates will be recognized in all three services, but we will spend some concentrated time at the 11 a.m. service recognizing high school graduates and presenting them with a gift on behalf of the church. I invite you to make it a point to be in worship on Sunday to celebrate and support those who are graduating!
On Sunday we also begin a new sermon series based on the book of Philippians. This letter, written by the Apostle Paul to the church at Philippi, contains wisdom and encouragement that I believe is as pertinent for life in 2017 as it was in 62 when it was written.
I am looking forward to being with you in worship on Sunday as we celebrate our graduates and begin this new series. Have a fantastic weekend and I’ll see you Sunday!
