April 13, 2017 eNote from Pastor Jeff

I am writing a day earlier than usual this week to encourage you to participate in Holy Week worship opportunities tonight and tomorrow. Holy Week is a special time to remember the final days of Jesus’ life and ministry. I believe you’ll be blessed by these services.
  • Today is Maundy Thursday. At 5:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall there will be an informal, family-friendly service commemorating the Last Supper. We’ll have a light meal, read scripture, sing and pray together, experience a special activity for children, and celebrate communion.
  • Tomorrow is Good Friday. At 7:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary we will have a Tenebrae Service with special music provided by our choir and bells.
I also hope that you continue to be praying for the persons you have been considering inviting to Easter worship. On Sunday morning all three of our services will feature special music and lively celebrations of Christ’s resurrection. I look forward to celebrating with you and your friends and family!
If you’re traveling to be with family this weekend, you’ll be missed in worship. I hope you find a special place to worship and that it provides a meaningful time of celebration.
I look forward to seeing many of you in worship through these next several days and hope you have a wonderful Easter!
